Seperti halnya yang ada pada sistem operasi Windows, yang sering mengalami problem, maka pada Windows 8.1 juga demikian, terdapat masalah-masalah seperti yang ada pada versi windows lain, dan masalah yang umum terjadi pad windows yaitu tidak dapat mengoperasikan Windows 8.1 dengan sempurna karena adanya masalah, bahkan juga hingga masalah yang besar, seperti Windows 8.1 yang tidak bisa melakukan booting atau start, sering mengalami hang dan crash, mengalami blue screen dan lainnya.

Problem yang muncul seperti itu karena berbagai faktor, seperti masalah file penting Windows 8.1 yang terhapus atau yang sering disebut dengan corrupt, terdapat program atau driver yang tidak compatible dengan Windows 8.1, serangan program jahat seperti malware dan virus dan lainnya. 

Cara Repair Sistem Operasi Windows 8.1

Repair pada Windows 8.1 yang mengalami masalah seperti itu bisa dilakukan dengan opsi untuk merepair, yang kira- kira dapat mengatasi problem yang dialami, langsung saja berikut di bawah ini pembahasannya.

1. Repair Windows 8.1 menggunakan fitur Recovery Partition.

Apabila komputer atau laptop kamu pre-installed Windows 8.1, biasanya Kamu mendapatkan  Recovery Partition yang disediakan oleh pengembangnya, Recovery Partition berguna untuk mengembalikan kondisi Windows 8.1 untuk ke kondisi awalnya kala pertama kali membeli komputer. Dengan begitu semua data atau file yang bukan bagian dari Factory Settings akan hilang. Jika ingin melakukan opsi repair ini, terdapat berbagai cara pada laptop dengan berbagai mereknya, berikut pembahasannya di bawah ini

A. TOSHIBA.
Recovery pada laptop TOSHIBA, dengan tekan tombol 0 ketika laptop akan dinyalakan, saat muncul bunyi beep, lepaskan tombol 0 dan pilih Yes untuk masuk ke Recovery.

B. SONY.
Tekan tombol F10 kala menyalakan laptop, yang tepat pada saat logo SONY muncul di layar monitor.

C. ACER.
Tekan tombol ALT pada saat logo ACER muncul, lalu tekan secara berulang- ulang tombol F10.

D. HP.
Recovery pada laptop merek HP dengan cara tekan tombol F11 secara berulang- ulang ketika menyalakan laptop hingga tepat pada saat muncul logo HP. Maka kemudian Kamu dapat mengakses HP Recovery Manager.

E. ASUS.
Tekan tombol F9 ketika  menyalakan laptop hingga tepat pada saat muncul logo ASUS.

F. LENOVO.
Tekan tombol F11 saat menyalakan laptop, yaitu tepat pada saat muncul logo LENOVO.

G. DELL.
Tekan tombol F8 secara berulang- ulang saat menyalakan komputer hingga tepat pada saat logo DELL muncul.

H. SAMSUNG.
Tekan tombol ESC saat akan menyalakan laptop dan lepaskan ketika muncul opsi Recovery, lalu pilih Samsung Recovery Solution. Atau dapat juga dengan menekan tombol F4 tepat ketika  muncul logo SAMSUNG.

2. Repair Windows 8 dengan reset Windows 8.1

Reset Windows 8.1 mirip dengan instal ulang, dengan begitu semua program, pengaturan dan file akan hilang. Berikut di bawah ini caranya:

  1. Pertama-tama boot dengan menggunakan Installer Windows 8.1.
  2. Lalu pilih opsi "Repair your computer".
  3. Pilih opsi "Troubleshoot".
  4. Pilih opsi "Reset your PC".
  5. Pilih sistem operasi yang ingin direset, yaitu Windows 8.1.
  6. Klik "Next" setelah Kamu membaca apa yang terjadi dalam proses reset.
  7. Pilih opsi Reset pada semua drive atau hanya pada drive tempat instal Windows. Disarankan memiliki "Only the drive where Windows is installed", sehingga drive yang lainnya tidak terkena efeknya.
  8. Pilih opsi "Fully clean the drive".
  9. Klik "Reset".
  10. Windows akan me- restart, tunggu proses Reset hingga selesai, lamanya proses sekitar 1 jam.
  11. Setelah selesai, akan terjadi lagi restart.
  12. Kamu akan diminta settings Bahasa, Lokasi, nama komputer, dan hal lainnya.

3. Repair Windows 8 dengan refresh.

Refresh dalam Windows 8.1 mirip-mirip dengan Reset, hanya saja pada opsi Refresh tidak menghapus file atau data, fitur ini digunakan untuk mengembalikan kondisi Windows 8.1 ke kondisi yang fresh. Proses Refresh ini dilakukan apabila OS Windows 8.1 menunjukan gelagat yang aneh, seperti sering hang, crash, freeze dan semacamnya. Jika Kamu melakukan refresh Windows 8.1 maka semua program yang telah diinstal akan hilang. Cara Refresh Windows 8.1 yaitu:

  1. Muncul kan Charm, lalu pilih Settings -> Change PC settings -> Update and recovery -> Recovery. 
  2. Lalu klik "Get started" pada bagian "Refresh your PC without affecting your files".
  3. Klik "Next".
  4. Terdapat daftar program atau aplikasi yang akan dihilangkan, untuk lanjut klik "Next".
  5. Klik "Refresh"
  6. Komputer atau laptop akan melakukan restart untuk melakukan proses refresh. 
  7. Tunggu proses hingga selesai.

Apabila komputer atau laptop Kamu tidak dapat boot masuk ke Windows, maka untuk Refresh Windows 8.1 menggunakan DVD / USB Installer Windows 8.1 dengan opsi "Repair your computer". Lalu pilih "Troubleshoot". Lalu pilih "Refresh your PC".

4. Repair Windows 8 dengan System Image Recovery.

System Image Recovery Windows 8.1 menggunakan System Image, dengan mengembalikan kondisi Windows 8.1 secara menyeluruh persis sama ketika kondisi System Image ini dibuat, yang lengkap dengan program dan file hingga pengaturan nya. Untuk Tapi untuk melakukan System Image Recovery perlu mempunyai System Image Backup. Berikut cara Recovery Windows 8.1 dengan System Image:
  1. Apabila Windows 8.1 masih dapat diakses, maka dapat melakukan Recovery melalui Advanced Startup.
  2. Akan tetapi apabila Windows 8.1 tidak bisa diakses, maka Recovery dengan Media Installer Windows 8.1. Lakukan boot memakai Media Installer Windows 8.1, lalu pilih opsi "Repair your computer".
  3. Lalu pilih "Troubleshoot".
  4. Pilih "Advanced options".
  5. Pilih "System Image Recovery".
  6. Pilih Windows 8.1 sebagai target Recovery.
  7. Pilih opsi pilihan System Image yang ingin digunakan untuk Recovery Windows 8.1
  8. Klik "Next".
  9. Pilih System Image, lalu  klik "Next".
  10. Konfirmasi pilihan System Image, klik "Next".
  11. Pada opsi "Choose additional restore options", klik "Next".
  12. Cek lagi System Image yang dipilih, lalu klik "Finish".
  13. Klik "Yes" untuk memulai proses Recovery.
  14. Tunggu proses Recovery hingga selesai, hingga terjadi restart dan kembali masuk ke Windows 8.1
  15. Selesai.

5. Repair Windows 8 dengan System Restore.

System Restore dilakukan menggunakan Restore Point, Kamu dapat mengembalikan kondisi Windows 8.1 ke kondisi yang sama saat Restore Point dibuat. Kamu dapat  mengembalikan kondisi Windows yang telah bermasalah ke kondisi Windows yang masih stabil. Kamu hanya perlu memilih Restore Point yang tampaknya kondisi Windows dalam keadaan baik. 

System Restore dapat dilakukan via Control Panel -> System and Security- > System > System Protection, atau dapat dilakukan via Safe Mode dengan membuka Command Prompt dan memberikan perintah rstrui.exe lalu tekan Enter. 

Akan tetapi apabila Windows 8.1 tidak bisa boot atau tidak dapat masuk ke Safe Mode, maka cara lainnya dengan Media Installer Windows 8.1, berikut dibawah ini penjelasannya:
Boot menggunakan Media Installer Windows 8.1.

  1. Pilih opsi "Repair your computer".
  2. Pilih opsi "Troubleshoot".
  3. Pilih opsi "Advanced options".
  4. Pilih opsi "System Restore".
  5. Pilih Sistem Operasi yang ingin dIrepair, yaitu Windows 8.1.
  6. Muncul window System Restore, lalu klik "Next".
  7. Pilih salah satu Restore Point yang ada, Kamu dapat klik "Scan for affected program" untuk melihat program apa saja yang terkena efek dari Restore Point yang dipilih. 
  8. Jika sudah, klik "Next".
  9. Klik "Finish".
  10. Muncul pemberitahuan System Restore akan berjalan, klik "Yes" jika ingin melakukan System Restore.
  11. Tunggu prosesnya hingga selesai dan muncul pesan "System Restore completed successfully....". 
  12. Lalu klik "Restart".
  13. Setelah restart,  kondisi Windows 8.1 telah kembali ke kondisi pada Restore Point yang dipilih.

6. Command Prompt.

Opsi repair menggunakan Command Prompt di Windows 8.1 dilakukan jika terdapat masalah boot atau start. Dengan menggunakan perintah bootrec.exe, Kamu dapat memperbaiki masalah boot dalam Windows 8.1. L
