Arabic numerals copied from a document converted into Eastern Arabic numerals when pasting in another document having Arabic numerals Solved

Arabic numerals copied from a document converted into Eastern Arabic numerals when pasting in another document having Arabic numerals Solved

Arabic numerals copied from a document converted into Eastern Arabic numerals when pasting in another document having Arabic numerals

Hi,

My MS Office 2007 is Arabic version.
However, when I have tried copying the content of a word file (degrees for Êstudents written in Arabic numerals, from 0 - 9).
But while pasting those degrees in another document also having degrees written in ÊArabic
numerals 0 to 9, I found that the degrees Êpasted were converted intoÊEastern Arabic numerals.Ê(? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?).
However, the other degrees in theÊoriginalÊdocument to which I pasted
were still inÊArabic numerals .
Also, the content (degrees) in the document from which I copied were still in ÊArabic numerals.
Is this line problem?
This is the procedure I have followed.
1- I have created a word document ona Microsoft Office 2010 English Version installed on my laptop whose system is Windows 7.
Only the degrees of students of that document were written in ÊArabic
numerals, from (0 - 9).
2- I have another word document created on a Microsoft Office 2007 Arabic Version installed on another laptop whose system is Windows XP.
Only the degrees of students of that documents were
written inÊArabic numerals, from (0 - 9).
3- I copied a copy of that document created in the step one and pasted it in a FlashDrive.
Then, I have plugged the FlashDrive to another laptop, and I opened both the Word files on the other laptop and tried copying the degrees from the file created in
the Microsoft Office 2010 English Version and pasted them to the contents(degrees) of that word document created on a Microsoft Office 2007 Arabic Version .
4- I found that the degrees pasted intoÊword document created on a Microsoft Office 2007 Arabic Version converted intoÊEastern Arabic numerals*(? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?).
However, the original degrees
previously written on that word document created in Microsoft Office 2007ÊÊwere still written in ÊArabic numerals (0- 9).
ÊOnly the new degrees pasted converted intoÊEastern Arabic numerals.

Also, in Microsoft Office 2010 English Version installed on my laptop whose system is Windows 7,ÊI have another problem which is that when I write numbers, such as in Date, I find Êthat the numbers are only written inÊArabic
numerals (0- 9), although that the input language is Arabic.
How can I control over Ênumbers.
ÊIf I want to convert theÊArabic numerals (0- 9) written in the date inside a Word document into Eastern Arabic numerals*(?
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?), how will I do?

Hello

Word is the only application in Office (Arabic Office or English Office with Arabic support) that has the capability of changing the
look of the numbers (whether Arabic Numerals or Eastern Arabic Numerals [called Hindi in Word]) according to criteria set by the user.
In Word 2010, go to File > Options > Advanced, and scroll down to section "Show document content".
In front
of "Numeral:" you have four options.
If you choose "Context", the numbers will appear Arabic if the context is Left-to-Right (LTR) as in English, and will appear Eastern Arabic (Hindi) if the context is RTL for Arabic.
If you choose Arabic, all numbers will
appear Arabic for both contexts; and will appear Eastern Arabic if you choose Hindi.

I guess that the "Numeral:" of your Word 2010 is set to Arabic.
Change it to "context" to see Eastern Arabic Numerals in your Arabic paragraphs.
But please note the following: If you copy this document to another computer that has "Arabic" as Numeral in Word,
those very numbers will appear Arabic, even in an Arabic paragraph.Ê

Regarding the first problem, since numbers are appearing Arabic AND Eastern Arabic, this
could mean that the "Numeral:" in your Word 2007 is set to Context and the copied numbers are pasted in a RTL paragraph while the original numbers are in LTR paragraphs.

So you need to change your setting according to what you want.
If the problem persists, it would be helpful if you upload the target document for us to check (after removing any sensitive information and names).

To check for Windows updates. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer. If any updates are found, click Install updates.

Install the latest updates for Windows and for the program displaying the error. Note that the update for the program might be listed as an optional update on the Windows Update page.

Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.

Another Safe way to Fix the Problem: Arabic numerals copied from a document converted into Eastern Arabic numerals when pasting in another document having Arabic numerals:

How to Fix Arabic numerals copied from a document converted into Eastern Arabic numerals when pasting in another document having Arabic numerals with SmartPCFixer?

26 Tips For A Blogger Learn From My Journal

26 Tips For A Blogger Learn From My Journal

It would be much more, but I thought that at least this time Ill try to limit myself only to 26 tips for bloggers. Tips that I find useful and which can help you in your development as a blogger, increase traffic, online visibility, and blog monetization.

I write these tips as a result of my attempt to form some bloggers over time, so I could see some of the problems faced during the blog development.

26 Tips For A Blogger

Tips for a beginning blogger

1) Content is more important than design. Do not base your blog on a catchy design, if you have good content, interesting, attractive. And that can be learned.

2) How often do you write? Make a schedule and stick to it (it should be at least 2 times a week. More than two articles per week to keep up than to write one every day for 10 days, then disappear the next two months. Readers will notice your disappearance.

3) Do not ask the other bloggers for backlinks if you have not published anything on the website. It bothers me when I receive such requests. I recommend you ask for links to blogs that are at a similar level to you. Although I think the best would be to focus on writing content.

4) Do not focus on monetization if you have not posted anything on the site. Honestly, how likely do you think you will make money if you have not given anything?

5) No rattle or influencer other bloggers to give you share articles. Rather you can always ask about your articles, you can ask to give you an interview, etc. But if youre going to send emails to each of them and asking them to promote it, you risk creating a negative image. Plus, at some point they cease to help you.

6) Do not rely on traffic from another blogger (or more). Even if another blogger or influencer helps, do not count that you would pick up from this blog. I repeat: the only way to pick up a blog is to write content (articles) and striving to do better and better.

7) What do you write? Define issues that you will address and choose them as categories of the blog. Follow this strategy. If you have a blog about photography is stupid to write about the relationship of the couple and the care of cats and programming in PHP. Decide what niche you want to approach. When you feel that you are not satisfied with it then change blog direction, but do it consciously.

8) Do not overdo your share on Facebook. If you share in your articles to all Facebook pages, groups and profile of your Friends, you become annoying. Do not be naive, that you will not bring visitors, but you will create a negative image.

9) No email spam. If someone has not subscribed to your blog, do not submit articles by email.

10) Learn to write a title in a reasonably attractive way. I recommend the sites where you can read books online for free.

11) Read what you write out loud. That before publishing the article. If you think that something doesnt sounds good, rewrite the sentence. Rewrite article until you are satisfied. Usually this means to rewrite it several times. When you think its good, publish it. There might be mistakes, you can correct later. You do not have to be perfect either.

12) Help others bloggers. Give them share to articles if they are good, give a like, tweet or leave a comment with your blog in the website field. Gradually you will be noted. Be careful not to get to the other side.

13) Dont open five blogs simultaneously. Start one, choose a name that makes sense and builds it. When big enough, you can start another project.

14) Get in touch with other bloggers. Its called networking. See what events are they present and be there. Create connections with them.

15) Respect your readers. If you promise something (eg that you write every day for a month) keep your promise.

16) Invest in your blog. At first just time and energy. As you can afford and you can also invest money.

17) Make a SEO strategy. Work on it.

18) Make a SMO strategy (Social Media Optimization). Work on it.

19) Work daily on your blog. You do not have to write every day. There are other tasks you can handle.

20) Become visible both online and offline. Get involved in community projects and online or face-to-face to ensure your visibility and exposure.

21) Do not leave spam comments on another blogs.

22) Do not let your blog be just a collection of separate items. Get links from your articles where possible.

23) Optimize your blog to keep your readers for it. On this side I worked mainly on literary style and focus on the more useful content. There are hundreds of ways to optimize the experience of readers.

24) The blog is not a democracy. There are the same rights for everyone involved. If we make an analogy, the blog is more like a dictatorship. When someone is making talks beyond measure is your duty to intervene.

25) Do not count that you will live from your blog. Unlikely youll do that for quite a while, so make sure you have some source of income. You can make money from blogging, but it takes up time and work.

26) Periodically pick a day to do just administrative tasks. I usually do every Thursday and consists of tasks such as: replacement of broken links in articles, backup and database optimization, rewriting old articles, inserting links in articles (for example, take the last article and see where on the older articles you could put internal links).

There is a period (in many cases for over a year) in which you will not have any results. Most bloggers give in this time, disappointed that they do not see immediate results: traffic, website comments, likes etc. Unfortunately they do not come right away (unless you already have a very good online reputation).

I still believe that blogs (personal development blog or any niche) are a great tool and should be used extensively. The results will come, no matter how you started as a blogger.

If you already have a blog or want to make a website, give your opinion about the following topic: What problems did you encounter? What do you think should be avoided?

A security expert said he could hack into San Franciscos 35 000 police drones from a mile away

A security expert said he could hack into San Franciscos 35 000 police drones from a mile away

SkyRanger Drone

Think drones are scary? Then you might not like the notion of hackable $35,000 police drones flying in your airspace.

Unfortunately, that notion is something of a reality Ñ at least according to one hacker who says heÕs capable of commandeering a very expensive, very high-tech quadcopter from over a mile away.

On WednesdayÕs RSA security conference in San Francisco, security researcher Nils Rodday revealed a number of rather alarming flaws in the cityÕs advanced, police-grade unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that make it possible for him Òto take full control over the quadcopter with just a laptop and a cheap radio chip connected via USB.Ó

Due to the absence of any sort of encryption technology between the drone and its controller (called a Òtelemetry box,Ó), taking over one of these UAVs isnÕt a particularly complicated process. In fact, if youÕre able to reverse engineer the flight software, youÕre able to completely hijack the quadcopter, sending your own controls while blocking all signals from the legitimate operator.

ÒYou can inject packets and alter waypoints, change data on the flight computer, set a different coming home position,Ó Rodday says. ÒEverything the original operator can do, you can do as well.Ó

So whatÕs leading to this massive security flaw? Rodday has narrowed it down to two primary culprits Ñ the weak ÒWEPÓ or Òwired-equivalent privacyÓ encryption used to connect the telemetry module and a userÕs tablet, and even worse, the incredibly insecure encryption (or lack thereof) that connects the telemetry model to the UAV itself.

Rodday, who now works at IBM, has since informed drone manufacturers to the breaches heÕs uncovered, and tells Wired that the company plans to address the issue when it updates its line of drones. But that means that the UAVs already on the market are fair game for hacking, and from quite a distance at that.

This is by no means the first time that the security of such drones has been called into question. A few years ago in 2013, Samy Kamkar, a hacker in his own right, showed how his homemade Raspberry Pi equipped drone could be used to hack into other drones mid-flight. The vast majority of the problems he discovered, he said, were contingent on insecure Wi-Fi connections. ÒItÕs all the same story: really poor authentication or no authentication,Ó Kamkar told Wired.

So before drones can be used by police, they need to be secured. Because nothing could be worse than a gun-equipped UAV that has been taken over by malicious hackers.

All contacts gone after Yosemite upgrade! How to restore original contacts from Time Machine Backup

All contacts gone after Yosemite upgrade! How to restore original contacts from Time Machine Backup

If you have upgraded your OS X from Mavericks to Yosemite or from any other version of OS X to OS X 10.10 Yosemite and you check your Contacts/Address Book after upgrade and shockingly you find out that all your contacts are gone and the Address Book is blank and you had also not taken backup on iCloud.
Dont worry if you have the time machine backup in your external hard drive you dont need to restore the whole OS X, you can simply restore the original contacts from previous OS X install.

How to restore original contacts from Time Machine Backup

You can restore contacts with a Time Machine Backup
You may be able to restore from iCloud, using your iCloud account, if it had not been deleted there.

Yes, there is a way to restore Address Book content from a Time Machine backup. However, itÕs important to note that Address Book data is used by many applications throughout OS X, so before we begin, make sure to quit all open applications to minimize the possibility of introducing problems.

Steps to restore Address Book content from a Time Machine backup

1.  To begin, Disable iCloud sync in System Configuration -> iCloud -> Uncheck Contacts.

2.  Now weÕll need to show hidden files in the Finder because the Library folder on the Time Machine drive (as on your Mac) is hidden by default. To do this, open Terminal (located in Applications/Utilities) and type in the following command followed by the enter key (Note: you can re-hide hidden Finder files by replacing ÒTRUEÓ with ÒFALSEÓ and re-running the command below):

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

Next, restart the Finder by typing the following command:

killall Finder

3. Now open the Address Book contents of your current OS X 10.10 Yosemite by navigating to the following location

~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook

4. Enter the time Machine Backup then Go to ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook and replace the contents of this folder with the same folder in on your Mac and you are Done.

5. Copy the entire contents of the Address Book folder from the backup and overwrite the contents of this folder on your system drive.
Once the copy is complete, relaunch Address Book and you should see your contacts listed, current as of the date of your last backup.

6. If Time Machine is not on your side today and you just upgraded MacOS like me look for a file like ÒMigration 20150631213806-3786.abbu.tbzÓ. Every time Contacts migrates to a new version of the App there is a file like this containing a complete backup of all your contacts. Uncompress this file by double-clicking it and double-click the .abbu file to replace everything in your Address Book with the backed up contacts in this file.

7. Enable iCloud Contacts syncing again to sync the contact to all of your devices.

Note:-  If you find that all the contacts are gone after closing and reopening the Contacts application then just delete the AddressBook-v22.abcddb and its helper files?
Those are the index files that drive the display. If the one you are copying is corrupt, it may be causing the problems you see.
Deleting those database files solves a majority of the problems with Contacts App.

If you dont wanna do all those steps mentioned above you could back up all the photos by syncing to iCloud and then install iCloud on Windows PC to transfer or copy all the pictures.

Method 5. Use iFunBox.

Through Window Explorer, you can only import the photos in iPhone Camera Roll. While for the photos that saved on other Albums, or synced from iTunes library, youll need a professional iPhone photo transfer software. There are multiple software to transfer photos from iOS device to Windows PC But all of them have some limitation and some of them are paid.So I would rather use the one which has no limitation and open source free software. iFunbox is one them as this has so many great features and is free to use.Below are the links to download some of these iOS file management software.

Aunty Ji Song from Ek Main Aur Ekk

Aunty Ji Song from Ek Main Aur Ekk

It is a fun track and it has a very vibrant feel with a slightly retro party beat.
Cast: Imran Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sonia Mehra, Ram Kapoor, Boman Irani, Randhir Kapoor, Ratna Pathak
Release Date: February 10, 2012
Director: Shakun Batra
This is the next official sound track from Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu - Aunty Ji.
Watch Imran And Kareena dance to this awesome party track.

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU new song: Who is ÔAunty jiÕ?

Watch Imran Khan groove with Kareena Kapoor in this unusual dance number from their upcoming film

Meant to be an out-and-out party number, Ek Main Aur Ekk TuÕs new song Aunty ji sounds more like a jingle with a peppy tune and quirky lyrics. It has been sung in a thick urban Hinglish accent and has an American flavour (not surprising, as the film is set in Las Vegas).
Imran Khan looks hot in a black suit and spiky hair style and oh my, can he dance! HeÕs finally grown out of his extra left foot. Kareena Kapoor matches Imran step for step and looks gorgeous in her satin Indigo coloured outfit. They share a sparkling chemistry. Sadly, though the song itself doesnÕt make the cut. It has been composed in the back-to-school style and offers nothing innovative. When you listen to it even for the first time, you get a been-there-heard-that feel. Aunty Ji is not even remotely close to the craziness of Pappu CanÕt Dance Saala. However, its New Year theme and the timing of its release may work in its favour and give this foot-tapping number a leg up in the charts.

10 lessons from video gaming that have helped my career

10 lessons from video gaming that have helped my career

Mark Kaelin has been playing video games since the 1970s. Despite the typical gamer stereotype, he thinks gaming can teach some important career skills.
hero
I have been playing computer video games for more than 30 years nowÑit is one of my favorite hobbies. The interesting thing about playing games for so long is that through games I have trained my brain to process complex, sometimes seemingly unrelated data into actionable informationÑa skill that has proven invaluable for my career.

As Steve Johnson explained in Everything Bad Is Good for You: How Todays Popular Culture Is Actually Making Us Smarter, playing games provides tools needed for a successful career in information technology. Along the way, games have also taught me many lessons about life, work, and problem solving. Here are 10 things I learned from being a gamer all these years.

1: There is no such thing as it cant be done

At one point or another in our interactions with colleagues within an enterprise we have all heard the dreaded phrase: "It cant be done!" Of course, this is a lie because anything can be done. If games teach us anything, it is that anything is possible.

What the "cant be done" crowd is really saying is "We have never done it that way before so we are reluctant to try something new." As a seasoned gamer, I know that attitude is a recipe for failure. The real question is not "can" something be done, but rather "should" it be done.

2: The obvious solution is not always the best solution

When solving a problem, there is often an obvious, safe, and conventional solution. I remember an old saying in IT: No one ever lost their job by buying equipment from IBM. But that doesnt mean the safe answer is always the best answer. Sometimes you have to take a chance on the unconventional answer, on the answer that requires a certain amount of risk. Whether it is a computer game or the game of life, the riskier solution is often the most rewarding.

3: You should observe before you act

This lesson may seem counter to the previous one, but they go hand in hand. Choosing a solution with more risk is advisable only after you have taken the time to observe and study the possible outcomes. Bad things happen when you act impulsively. Taking time to contemplate all the potential outcomes allows you to make informed decisions that have predictable outcomes. Taking risks is important, but they should always be calculated risks.

4: Sometimes it is better to say nothing

Often when playing a role-playing game there is an option to say nothing as another character goes on a rant. In fact, saying nothing is often the best option. This is true in the enterprise environment as well.

Letting your boss or your coworker blow off steam without any input, encouragement, or discouragement from you can be your best choice. In many cases there is no reason for you to insert yourself into the situation. Your wisest choice is to observe, listen, and let it play out.

5: Its important to pick your battles

Just like in a game world, in the enterprise environment part of your worth is measured in your reputation with your colleagues. You spend time and effort every day building up a rapport with the people your work with. This goodwill should be spent only on important battles within the organization.

Realizing that some battles cant be won and that other battles are not worth fighting in the first place can help you preserve your goodwill for later, more meaningful battles. Swallow your pride and pick your battles wisely.

6: Its best to stay true to your character

One of the first choices you have to make in a role-playing game is how your character will present itself to the world. Will you be a hero with noble intentions of righting wrongs or will you be a brooding anti-hero who solves problems with noticeable indifference?

Working in an enterprise also requires you to decide how you will interact with your colleagues. In the long term, the choices you make for the enterprise should reflect your true personality. If you are the helpful type, you should be true to your character and be helpful. However, if your personality is a bit prickly, you might have to adopt a more appropriate role within the organizationÑa role that matches your natural predilections.

7: A strategic plan will help guide your decisions

When you play a game there is almost always an overarching storyline, quest, or goal. All the smaller storylines, quests, and goals you encounter along the way are there to move you toward that ultimate goal. There is always a strategic plan.

Enterprises also have overarching strategic plans. All the decisions you make in an enterprise, no matter your level within the organization, should be made with that strategic plan in mind. It doesnt matter whether you are in charge of buying staples or buying billion dollar pieces of equipmentÑyou should always make decisions based on the strategic plan.

8: A tactical plan will help get things done

While keeping the strategic plan in mind is all well and good, actually getting something done requires a tactical plan. When we talk about teamwork and collaboration in the enterprise we are really talking about the implementation of a tactical plan.

By forming a tactical plan, everyone knows what is expected of them, and more important, what is expected of everyone else. The key to any plan is that everyone involved accomplishes their assigned task. Creating a workable tactical plan is the bedrock for getting things done whether in a game or in an enterprise.

9: Plans never survive intact

This lesson tends to cause tremendous amounts of frustration for many gamers and enterprise employees alike. Simply put: No plan, no matter how well thought out, will survive its implementation intact. This is probably the most difficult lesson to accept.

As your tactical or strategic plan is implemented, facts and circumstances are going to change. Results that seemed self-evident at the start will fail to materialize and events that seemed impossible during planning will take place like they were always meant to be. This is how life (and games) works and you must learn to prepare for it and embrace it.

10. Having fun is essential

The last lesson is a follow up to the previous one. Life is going to throw you a curve ball from time to time. There will be obstacles to overcome, there will be hardships, and there will be moments of frustration, but you must keep your perspective. You cant take yourself too seriously.

All these obstacles are what make the game interesting. It doesnt matter whether the game is on your computer or not. Life, real or imagined, is unpredictable. Overcoming lifes twist and turns is what makes it engaging. That is the fun part.
